The short answer
Customerly is an AI-first customer service platform: live chat, a help center, flows, surveys and Aura, its own AI agent, billed per seat plus AI conversations. Its iOS, Android and React Native SDKs show its web messenger inside the app. DevReply does one job: a native “message the developer” chat, written in SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose, answered from one inbox, with an MCP server so your own AI agent works that inbox. DevReply has a free plan, no per-seat fees and no per-answer AI fees. If you want an AI agent that resolves tickets on its own from your help center, Customerly offers that and DevReply doesn't.

Sources: customerly.io/pricing, How pricing works, Customerly MCP, the SDKs on GitHub (iOS, Android, React Native), and our own pricing. Checked October 2026. Customerly's own SDK notes describe the iOS and Android SDKs as a native bridge over the JavaScript messenger, and the React Native SDK needs react-native-webview. DevReply prices are in USD, with VAT added where it applies. Scale's webhooks and in-app nudges are coming, not built yet.
What a small team pays
Take a team of three answering one app for a year, at the list prices above:
- DevReply: $0 on Free while you stay under 50 conversations a month. Pro is $490 a year for the whole team, with your agent working the inbox. A fourth or a tenth teammate costs nothing.
- Customerly Core: $570 a year billed annually (3 seats × $19 × 10 months, after the two months off), or $684 paid monthly. That includes 10 AI conversations a month; each one beyond is $0.45.
- Customerly Growth: $2,070 a year billed annually (3 × $69 × 10), with 20 AI conversations a month.
Interactions (a new incoming conversation, a sent email or a survey response) are included up to a monthly amount per plan, 500 on Core, and billed by use beyond it. At ten people, Customerly Core is $1,900 a year billed annually; DevReply Pro is still $490.
Why DevReply for mobile apps
- A native chat, not a web page in your app. DevReply's chat is SwiftUI on iOS and Jetpack Compose on Android, and the React Native and Flutter packages open those same native screens. The keyboard, photos, files, dark mode and right-to-left languages behave the way the phone does. Customerly's SDKs present its web messenger in a web view.
- Free to start, and no seats. DevReply's Free plan has the native SDKs, push and history kept forever, for any number of teammates. Customerly has no free plan after its 14-day trial and bills every seat.
- Your agent, without a meter. Both have an MCP server. The difference is who answers: Customerly sells Aura's AI conversations at $0.45 each beyond the allowance, while DevReply has no per-answer fee because the agent is yours. On Pro it reads conversations with their context, tags and sorts them, drafts replies for your approval or sends them, as each app allows.
- Context made for app bugs. Each message arrives with device, OS, app version and language, plus anything your app passes. Open the chat from a paywall with a draft and an error code, and the conversation shows them as “Opened with”.
- Accounts the way the stores expect. Log in with your own user id, log out on sign-out, and delete a user from the app, the inbox or your backend, as Apple requires. The chat speaks 34 languages, Hebrew and Arabic right to left.
Your coding agent can set DevReply up from the app's setup guide or over MCP. See the guides for SwiftUI, Expo and React Native and Flutter.
Where Customerly is stronger
- An AI agent that works alone. Aura trains on your help center, resolves conversations end to end around the clock, takes actions and hands over to a person with context. DevReply has no bot of its own: you bring your agent, and webhooks for round-the-clock answers are still coming.
- A help center. Every Customerly plan has one, multilingual on higher plans. DevReply has none.
- More than chat. Flows, NPS and CSAT surveys, email, lead generation and real-time video calls in the messenger. DevReply is the in-app chat only, with no outreach yet.
- The same messenger everywhere. Because the app SDKs show the web messenger, the chat looks and works the same on your site and in your app.
- EU data. Customerly is based in Ireland and says all data is stored in the EU.
- Years in production. DevReply is new, made by Code Axolot for our own apps first.
Which one to pick
- Pick DevReply if your users are mostly in an iOS or Android app, you want a chat that feels native, and you'd rather have your own coding agent help than pay per seat and per AI conversation.
- Pick Customerly if you want an AI agent that answers from your help center on its own, plus surveys and email flows, and the same web messenger on your site and in your app.
Try DevReply free with your own app: no card, unlimited teammates, and the native SDKs on the free plan. Coding agents can read everything about it in llms.txt.
