The short answer
Kommunicate is an AI customer-service platform: its own AI agent answers first, hands off to a person when it should, and works across your website, mobile apps, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and email. DevReply does one narrower thing: a native “message the developer” chat inside your app, answered from one inbox, with an MCP server so your own AI agent can read and work that inbox. If you want a ready-made AI bot on many channels, Kommunicate is the stronger pick. If you're a developer or a small team answering your own app's users, DevReply costs less, includes the mobile SDKs on the free plan and doesn't charge per seat.

What a small team pays
Take a team of three answering one app for a year, at the list prices above:
- DevReply: $0 on Free while you stay under 50 conversations a month. Pro is $490 a year for the whole team, with your agent working the inbox. A fourth or tenth teammate costs nothing.
- Kommunicate Starter, monthly: $960 a year ($40 plus two extra team members at $20, × 12), for 250 conversations a month and one AI agent. Kommunicate doesn't list the yearly price of extra members.
- Kommunicate Professional, billed yearly: $2,004 a year ($167 × 12), which includes three team members, two AI agents and 2,000 conversations a month.
The comparison isn't one to one: Kommunicate's price includes its own AI agents, and DevReply's doesn't include a bot at all. With DevReply you bring an agent you already pay for, like Claude Code or another MCP client, and DevReply doesn't charge for its answers.
Why DevReply for mobile apps
- Native screens, on the free plan. DevReply's chat is written in SwiftUI on iOS and Jetpack Compose on Android. The React Native and Flutter packages open those same native screens. You get all of it at $0, so you can ship it in a first release before you know whether anyone writes in.
- The whole team, no seat math. Every plan has unlimited teammates. Kommunicate's Starter includes one team member and charges $20 a month for each one after that.
- Your agent, not a second bot. DevReply's MCP server lets your own AI agent list conversations, read them with their context, tag, add notes and reply, only as you allow per app: off, drafts the team approves, or sending. It can also set up a new app. Kommunicate gives you its own AI agent, which you configure and train in its dashboard.
- Context from the app. Each message arrives with the device, OS, app version and language, plus anything your app passes, like the user's plan. Open the chat from a paywall with a draft and an error code, and the team sees it as “Opened with”.
- Built for store rules. Log in with your own user id, log out on sign-out, and delete a user from the app, your backend or the inbox, as Apple requires. The chat follows the phone's language, 34 of them, including Hebrew and Arabic right to left.
Setup guides: SwiftUI, Expo and React Native, Flutter.
Where Kommunicate is stronger
- A built-in AI agent. Kommunicate's bot answers on its own, works with models from OpenAI, Google and Anthropic and with Dialogflow or Amazon Lex, and hands off to a person with the conversation attached. DevReply has no AI bot of its own: you bring your agent.
- Many channels. WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Messenger, LINE, email and the web sit next to the in-app chat. DevReply has no email inbox, WhatsApp or social channels.
- Integrations. Zendesk and Freshdesk on Professional; Salesforce, HubSpot and Zapier on Enterprise. API and webhooks on Professional. DevReply's webhooks are still coming.
- More frameworks. Kommunicate also has an Ionic SDK. DevReply covers native iOS, native Android, React Native, Flutter and the web.
- Track record. Kommunicate is an established product with published customer case studies. DevReply is new, made by Code Axolot for our own apps first, and its webhooks and in-app nudges are still coming.
Which one to pick
- Pick DevReply if your users are mostly in an iOS or Android app, you or a small team answer them, and you'd rather have your own coding agent help than pay for seats and a separate bot.
- Pick Kommunicate if you want an AI bot that answers first on its own, across WhatsApp, social and email as well as your app, and a support team behind it.
Try DevReply free with your own app: no card, unlimited teammates, and the native SDKs on the free plan. Coding agents can read everything about it in llms.txt.
